Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be referred by service providers. If you or someone you know is homeless and are not currently working with a service provider, please contact your local Continuum of Care (CoC) or homeless service agency.

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program assists very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and affordable housing in the private market.

To apply for the Section 8 HCV Program, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
• Have a valid Social Security number
• Meet the income limits set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
• Not be disqualified due to criminal history or other factors
