JFK Jr.: The Life of a Rising Star Cut Short

From Promising Beginnings to a Tragic End

Who was John F. Kennedy Jr.?

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Jr., or John-John as he was affectionately known, was the son of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Born on November 25, 1960, he was a bright and charismatic young man who followed in his father's footsteps of public service and journalism.

Early Life and Education

JFK Jr. grew up in a privileged environment, but he also experienced great loss at a young age. His father was assassinated when he was three years old, and his mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, passed away in 1994. Despite these challenges, JFK Jr. excelled in both academics and athletics.

Political and Journalistic Career

Like his father, JFK Jr. pursued a career in politics. He served as an assistant district attorney in New York City and ran for Congress in 1992. While he was not successful in his political aspirations, JFK Jr. made a significant impact through his work as a journalist.
